Nancy Anne Duxbury has worked as a real estate professional in Florida for 25 years. She has specialized in the East Volusia County from Flagler Beach to New Smyrna Beach for the past 17 years. She opened Nancy Duxbury and Associates, Inc in 1988 in Mount Dora, Florida and guided the small firm to a top three ranking in the community. Most recently she was a Broker-Associate and PREVIEWS INTERNATIONAL PROPERTY SPECIALIST with COLDWELL BANKER ALL STARS REALTY. Over her career she has closed transactions totaling over $100,000,000. Originally from Providence, Rhode Island, Nancy Anne moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1959. There she met her husband, Norman, and they were married in 1961. Norman was a member of the Diplomatic Corps with the United States Department of State, which gave him and Nancy the opportunity to travel and live abroad for many years. They lived and worked in Mogadiscio, Somalia; Vienna, Austria; Lagos, Nigeria; Istanbul, Turkey; New Delhi, India and Jakarta, Indonesia. They were also able to enjoy visits to many other cities and countries during their time abroad
.
With this vast international background as well as her education and an Applied Associate in Science Degree in Architecture from Northern Virginia Community College Nancy has a vast knowledge of housing needs and requirements. Her empathy with her customers and strong intrapersonal skills also have allowed her to become a much sought after real estate agent in Florida.
While in Mount Dora, Nancy Anne served on the City Council and as a member of the City of Mount Dora Financial and Economic Affairs Committee, the first Downtown Redevelopment Agency, the Village Merchants and Business Association, the Mount Dora Rotary Club, and the Mount Dora Business and Professional Women’s Club. She also is a Past President of the Mount Dora Chamber of Commerce.
In 1993 Nancy Anne and her family moved to Daytona Beach Shores and enjoyed the lifestyle offered in condominium living for 8 years. During that time Nancy Anne served on the Code Enforcement Board and the Board of Adjustments. She was Chairperson of the Board of Adjustments during her last year of service there.
Nancy Anne and her husband, Norm, designed and had built a beautiful home in Ponce Inlet, Florida in 2000 and enjoyed living there for 5 years. Four years ago they moved to a 10 acre ranch just outside of New Smyrna Beach in Volusia County.
As you can see, Nancy has been able to live the variety of
lifestyles available in Florida and with this background and knowledge, is now working as a REAL ESTATE CONSULTANT to others interested in buying property here.
Nancy enjoys the lifestyle of Florida living to it’s utmost and can be found many weekends participating in area 5K Runs or even some Marathons. Nancy’s newest sports activity is as a member of the
Halifax Rowing Association and at least 3 days a week at 5:30 or 6:00 in the morning she can be found rowing on the Halifax River with the rest of her crew team. Her other hobbies include swimming, gardening and traveling.
